Leonhard Burr (13 March 1913 – 2 March 1968) was a highly decorated Oberfeldwebel in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career he flew as a radio operator for 940 missions.[Notes 1]
