Leona Detiège

Leona Detiège (born 26 November 1942) is a Belgian politician.[1] She is a member of the Flemish social-democratic party. At the moment, she is a federal senator, succeeding Marleen Temmerman in October 2012. From 1995 till 2003 she was the mayor of Antwerp.

Detiège was born in Antwerp. She is the daughter of former mayor of Antwerp, Frans Detiège, and mother of Maya Detiège, a federal representative.
