Lempaut is a commune in the Tarn department in southern France.
In Lempaut is the extraordinary Château de Padiès, a castle unique for its architecture, it looks like a Toulouse private mansion shipped to the countryside. It is a witness to the great periods of trade in pastel ( situated in the Lauragais), it has evolved over the centuries to a renaissance architectural style while still maintaining the aspect of its massive towers of defense. But the great particularity of the place, it's now becoming a place dedicated to promoting the arts in all their forms: painting, sculpture, music, cinema, photography.
