Legion of Veterans
The Legion of Veterans (Spanish: Legión de Ex-Combatientes, LEC) was a Bolivian powerful political organization between 1936 and 1939.[1]
The Legion of Veterans was established by Colonel Germán Busch Becerra on 13 September 1935, after the Chaco War. [2]
Legion of Veterans was associated with the revolutionary governments of Colonels José David Toro Ruilova and Germán Busch Becerra (1936–1939) and acted as the principal source of organized political support for the military regime. For the 1938 congressional elections, the Legion of Veterans was the component of the pro-military United Socialist Front. [3]
The Legion of Veterans did not long survive the suicide of Colonel Germán Busch.
