Lee Stephen Rayfield[3] (born 30 September 1955) is the current Bishop of Swindon.[4]

Rayfield was educated at the University of Southampton.[5] After a period as a lecturer in immunology at the University of London and study at Ridley Hall, Cambridge he was ordained a priest in 1994.[6] His career began with a curacy at Woodford after which he was Priest in Charge of St Peter's Furze Platt and finally (before his ordination to the episcopate) Area Dean of Maidenhead. A keen amateur runner and cyclist[7] he is married to Liz, with three children: Matt, Simon and Louise.
