Lee N. Fiedler

Lee N. Fiedler born November 8, 1941, is the past mayor of Cumberland, Maryland. During the early 1990s Lee Fiedler was the president and CEO of The Kelly Springfield Tire Company, a company that manufactured tires for about two dozen private brand marketers—including giants such as Sears, Wal-Mart, Discount Tire and Big O Tires. In 1999, Fiedler retired from Kelly-Springsfield Tire at age 57 after Goodyear decided to move the operation to Akron, Ohio from Cumberland. The following year Fiedler was elected Mayor, replacing Ed Athey in the non-partisan, part-time position. In 2001, Lee Fielder was inducted into the Tire Industry Association Hall of Fame. Mayor Fiedler also teaches business part-time at Frostburg State University. On July 6, 2010 Lee Fiedler decided to not run for re-election ending 10 years of serving as Mayor.[1] Fiedler has endorsed Democratic Mayor-elect Brian Grim.
