Leanne Harte is an Irish singer-songwriter. Harte has been fronting her own band since she was in her mid-teens. She first rose to prominence after an appearance on Irish radio RTÉ 2 at age sixteen.[1] She was nominated as the "Hope for 2008" artist at the 2008 Meteor Music Awards.[2]
On the weekend of 19–22 August 2011, Leanne Harte flew over to Germany for her first time. She was invited by friend and mentor Eamonn McCormack to play a well-received gig (trio with Marc-Inti Männel-Saavedra on bass and Tobi Baum on drums) at Offenbach and visited Toolhouse-Studios, Rotenburg/Fulda.
Private life
Harte volunteers some of her private time for hands-on charity when not busy with her work. She is additionally making an effort to explore other multimedia projects.[2] In June 2010, Harte came out as a lesbian.[3]
