Leader Magazine
Leader Magazine was a weekly pictorial magazine[1] published in the United Kingdom by the Hulton Press. It was disestablished in Spring 1950.[2]
Contributors included Stephen Potter[3] (editor), Kay Dick[3] (literary critic), Anthony Carson,[3] Orson Welles,[3] Edgar Lustgarten,[3] Lesley Blanch,[4] Leslie Illingworth,[3] Eric Partridge,[3] cartoonist Vicky,[3] Stephen King-Hall.[5] Theatre critic John Barber was also sub-editor at one time.[6] Another drama critic was Herbert Farjeon[7] Other contributors included Susan Garth, Gordon Beckles, Charles Stuart, Laurie Lee,[8] Barbara Cartland,[8] Hayden Church, Walter Hingston, Ruth Miller,[9] Geoffrey Sharp, Denzil Batchelor,[9] Hugh Newman, Prof. D. W. Brogan,[10] Eric Williams,[10] John Maytime,[10] Jean Paul Penez,[10] and Robert Lantz. Kaye Webb was theatre correspondent from 1947-49.[1][11]
