Lde-dpal-hkhor-btsan

Lde-dpal-hkhor-btsan (c. 870 -900) was an early ruler of Ladakh. He is mentioned in the Ladakhi Chronicles. He swore an oath to develop the Bön religion in Ladakh and was responsible for erecting eight early monasteries including the Upper Manahris monastery. He also encouraged the mass production of the Hbum scriptures to spread religion.[1]
