Lazare Adingono (born November 1, 1978 in Yaoundé) is a Cameroonian-American former basketball player and current coach.

Playing career

He played basketball at Rhode Island University from 1999-2003. In the 2002-2003, Adingono was a co-captain and finished third on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg). He also was a member of the Cameroon national basketball team.[1]

Coaching career

Adingono coached the men's national team at the 2007 and 2009 FIBA Africa Championships. From 2006 to 2009, Adingono was an assistant coach for the Canisius Golden Griffins. In April 2009, Adingono resigned from Canisius two months after he was arrested on charges of using a belt to beat his 4-year-old son.[2]

Adingono is an uncle of team Cameroon and Petro Atlético player Parfait Bitee.

As of May 2012, Adingono has been the head coach of Angolan side Petro Atlético.
