Lawrie Minson (born 13 September 1958) is an award-winning Australian country musician, guitarist and songwriter who lives in Tamworth, New South Wales

Career

Minson's career began by accompanying Buddy Williams; since then, he has toured with Lee Kernaghan, and accompanied Jimmy Barnes, Ross Wilson (Eagle Rock), Slim Dusty, James Blundell, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Matt Scullion. [4][5]

In 1989, Minson was signed to a major label and produced an instrumental album of Australian classics with “When the Rain Tumbles Down in July”, and a tribute to Tex Morton, “Murrumbidgee Jack”.

Lawrence Minson is the son of Australian country music radio personality John Minson. Lawrie grew up in Tamworth and lives there now with his wife Shelley.

Rockabilly Duo

Lawrie and Shelley Minson perform together as a rockabilly duo. [6] They have played at some of the largest music festivals in Australia including Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Woodford Folk Festival and the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and are booked to play at the world's largest Rockabilly Festival - Viva Las Vegas over the Easter weekend in 2015.

Shelley Minson

Shelley Minson (nee Watts)(born 13 February 1980) grew up in Muswellbrook. Shelley is also a solo entertainer, model, singer and songwriter, known for her love of vintage fashion and music from the 1950s and 1960s.
