Lawrence M. McKenna

Lawrence M. McKenna (born 1933) is a Senior District Judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.[1] He was nominated to the bench by George H. W. Bush on January 24, 1990.[1] Judge McKenna received his commission on April 30 of the same year, taking the seat of William C. Conner.[1] Judge McKenna assumed senior status on May 24, 2002.[1]

Judge McKenna received his A.B. from Fordham College in 1956 and his LL.B. from Columbia Law School in 1959.[1] He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Prior to his appointment, Judge McKenna was in private practice in New York City.[1] First he worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett from 1959–1969, and then at Wormser, Kiely, Alessandroni, Hyde & McCann from 1969-1990.
