Laufbacher Eck is a mountain of Bavaria, Germany. The Laufbacher Eck is a 2178 m high Summit of grassy mountain in the Allgäu Alps. It is located southeast of Lachenkopfes and to the North of Rotkopfs from which it is separated by the Laufbacher-Eck-Sattel. The mountain trail from the Edmund-Probst House to the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus runs over the saddle. On the Laufbacher corner, a page comb with the peaks of Salober, Berggächtle and Gables branches off to the Northeast. The Laufbacher-Eck can be reached easily from the Laufbacher-Eck-Sattel in a few minutes. The Botany of Laufbacher-Eck is similarly varied as that of Höfats or Schneck. Therefore the mountain rescue service gives protection to the botanical rarities similar to the Höfats during the summer months.
