Lasta (Serbian Cyrillic: Ласта), officially known in Serbian as Saobraćajno preduzeće Lasta a.d. Beograd, is the largest bus company in Serbia and Southeastern Europe. It is part of the pan-European Eurolines network[1] and operates bus coaches on a comprehensive network of routes throughout Serbia and Europe.
History
The name Lasta first appeared as a company when it was formed by the Yugoslav government in February 1947. The company's first day of operation was on April 1, 1947.[2] Only in 2006 did Lasta begin city transit operations in Belgrade to compliment its intercity services.[3]
