Las Hermanas (ballet)
Las Hermanas is a one-act ballet created by Kenneth MacMillan in 1971 for the Royal Ballet. The music is Frank Martin's Harpsichord Concerto (1952). The piece is loosely based on The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca.
The first performance was on 2 June 1971, by the Royal Ballet New Group at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London. The principal characters were danced by Gerd Larsen, Lynn Seymour and Monica Mason.[1]
