Coordinates: 41°19′24.50″N 105°34′50.00″W / 41.3234722°N 105.5805556°W Laramie High School (LHS) is a high school (grades 9-12) in Laramie, Albany County, Wyoming, United States. In the Albany County School District, high school begins in the 9th grade (freshman year); 9th grade (freshman) students are now able to attend high school in Laramie due to the building of a new high school. In addition, many LHS students concurrently attend classes at Laramie County Community College (Albany County Campus), or the University of Wyoming.

Noted LHS alumni include actor Wayde Preston, Gerry Spence (trial lawyer, author, and television legal consultant), Marilyn S. Kite (Justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court),[1] and John S. Bugas (former FBI agent credited with breaking up two Nazi spy rings and deterring sabotage, and former director of industrial relations at Ford Motor Company).[2][3][4][5] State Representative Richard Honaker of Rock Springs graduated from Laramie High in 1969. He is a nominee to serve as a U.S. District Judge based in Cheyenne.

Laramie High School currently has an online Newspaper called CyberPlainsman.[6]

The LHS mascot is the Plainsman (female counterpart: Lady Plainsman).

The elevation of Laramie High School is 7172 ft., the second-highest high school in the state. [7] Beginning with the opening of the new building in the 2015-16 school year, Laramie High School will have the highest elevation in the state at 7280 ft. [8]
