High school career
Treadwell finished his three-year high school career at Crete-Monee High in suburban Chicago as the second-leading receiver in Illinois prep history with 3,563 yards.[2] In 2012, he led his team to a 13-0 record and the state 6A championship game.[3]
College career
On November 1, 2014, with 1:30 left in the game versus 3rd ranked Auburn Tigers football, Treadwell caught a screen pass and took it to the Tigers' 1 yard line before being tackled from behind, bending the wide receiver awkwardly. As a result of the gruesome injury, Treadwell broke his tibia and dislocated his ankle, and adding insult to injury, fumbled the ball which was recovered in the end zone by Auburn's #8 Cassanova McKinzy, sealing the game for Auburn.
