Langrisser Re:Incarnation -Tensei- (ラングリッサー リインカーネーション -転生-) is a new game in the Langrisser series announced in the Famitsu magazine of 2015 January's first week. It is the first Langrisser game after 15 years, and while Satoshi Urushihara worked on many of the Langrisser and its spiritual successor series, Growlanser, characters for the new Langrisser are now going to be designed by Hiroshi Kaieda.

The game takes place in a flooded world and the story's protagonist is a man with the Sacred Sword Excalibur, looking to reunite himself with a childhood friend, while fighting the empire’s army to do so. The battle system is the same as known from other Langrisser titles, but now with 10-on-10 battles fought by super-deformed 3D characters serving as units. The units consist of Infantry, Cavalry, and Archers. More details are yet to be announced officially.[1]

It is uncertain if the game's new world will have cyberpunk or steampunk elements, but it is already known that it will change it's setting from an orthodox western medieval fantasy game to a more sci-fi inspired game.[2]

Music

Soundtrack is scored by series regular composer Noriyuki Iwadare. Okui Masami sing the theme song "Blood Blade: Beyond the Light and Darkness" (Blood Blade -光と闇の彼方に-).
