Lamwo is a town in Northern Uganda and the political and administrative center of Lamwo District. The district is named after the town. Other towns in the district include:

Location
Lamwo is located approximately 66 kilometres (41 mi), by road, northwest of Kitgum, the nearest large town.[1] This location lies approximately 468 kilometres (291 mi), by road, north of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, and the largest city in that country.[2] The approximate coordinates of the town are:03 31 48N, 32 48 00E (Latitude:3.5300; Longitude:32.800). The coordinates are approximate because Lamwo does not yet appear on most publicly available maps.
