Lambrini
Lambrini is a brand of light perry, created by Wallasey born John Halewood and is manufactured in Liverpool by Halewood International Limited. It has been marketed under the slogan, "Lambrini girls just wanna have fun" and currently dominates the commercial light perry market.
Products
Lambrini is an organic product that is available in eight varieties: Original, Light, Cherry, Peach, Cream, Bubbly, Pink Bubbly, Bucks Fizz and Still, which differs from the seven other varieties in that it comes in a three-litre box rather than a bottle. Although it is not a wine but a perry, Lambrini is a marketed more in the style of a wine than of a traditional perry or cider.
Marketing
In September 2007, Lambrini started a television advertising campaign featuring Northern Soul anthem "The Snake" by Al Wilson. The slogan for the campaign is "Do The Lambrini" rather than the traditional "Lambrini Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".
