Lamar Liolevave (born 1 December 1995) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Wests Tigers of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays second-row.
Background
Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Liolevave played his junior football for the Marist Saints. He later moved to Queensland, Australia to attend Keebra Park State High School. In July 2013, he signed a contract with the West Tigers starting in 2014.[2]
Playing career
In 2013, Liolevave played for the Australian Schoolboys.[3][4]
In 2014 and 2015, Liolevave played for the Wests Tigers' NYC team.[5]
On 4 October 2014, Liolevave was named the Tigers' NYC Coach's Player of the Year.[6]
On 18 October 2014, Liolevave played for the Junior Kiwis against the Junior Kangaroos, off the interchange bench in the Kiwis' 15-14 win.[7][8]
On 2 December 2014, Liolevave re-signed with the Tigers on a 2-year contract.[9]
In 2015, Liolevave moved on to the Tigers' New South Wales Cup team.[10]
In Round 4 of the 2015 NRL season, Liolevave made his NRL debut for the Tigers against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.[11]
