Lalakai Foketi (born 22 December 1994) is an Australian rugby union player who currently plays as a centre for the Melbourne Rebels in the international Super Rugby competition.[1][2]

Career

Foketi first came to prominence in 2013 with some impressive displays while playing for the Manly Marlins colts side. As a result he was named in the Melbourne Rebels extended playing squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season.[3]

He was not expected to feature much during his debut season, however a spate of injuries to Rebels backline players saw him earn a first Super Rugby cap against the Waratahs on 23 May 2014.[4]

International

Foketi was an Australia Schoolboys representative in 2012[1] and played 4 matches for the Australia Under 20 side at the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France. He has also been named in the squad for the 2014 tournament in New Zealand.[5][6][7]
