Lachlan McLean

Lachlan McLean has been host of "Sports Talk 840" (formerly known as "Sports Talk 84") on WHAS-AM radio in Louisville, Kentucky since July 2004. His show airs weeknights from 7-9pm. He also delivers the afternoon sportscasts for the Terry Meiners Show from 3-7pm. In February 2015, McLean announced he would be leaving WHAS in May for a job with the amusemement park company Cedar Fair as their Vice President of Corporate Relations.[1] In April 2015, WHAS-AM announced it would be discontinuing the sports talk show with his departure, discontinuing a tradition that started in the 1980s.[2]

Before his radio career, he worked as a television sports Anchor/Reporter at WFXL-TV in Albany, Georgia, WRDW-TV in Augusta, Georgia and WHAS-TV in Louisville. He also worked in station promotions for WBKI-TV in Louisville.

Lachlan graduated from the University of Virginia with an Economics degree in 1989 and was a corporate finance analyst for Lehman Brothers in New York City. He moved into sports with a production position at ESPN in 1992.

He is married to former WAVE-TV reporter Carolyn Gaeta and they have two daughters.
