La Dolores

La Dolores is an opera by Tomás Bretón.

La Dolores was first performed in Madrid in 1895 and was an immediate success. It had 66 consecutive performances in Madrid and another 112 in Barcelona.[1] The title character Dolores is maid at an inn in Catalayud.[2]

Antoni Ros-Marbà's recording of Plácido Domingo in La Dolores for Decca won the Grammy Latino in September 2000.
