La Captive
La Captive (The Captive) is a 2000 drama film directed by Chantal Akerman and featuring Olivia Bonamy, Sylvie Testud, and Stanislas Merhar.
This French language film is loosely based on Marcel Proust's novel La Prisonnière.[1]

Plot
A wealthy man, Simon (Merhar) holds his romantic interest Ariane (Testud) captive in a Paris apartment. His intent is to confirm his suspicions of her leading a lesbian double life.[2][3]
