Avinguda Carrilet, also known as L'Hospitalet-Av. Carrilet, is a railway and metro station in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area in Spain. It is by served by the Llobregat–Anoia line suburban railway and by Barcelona Metro lines L1 and L8. The suburban railway and metro line L8 are operated by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), whilst metro line L1 is operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB).[1][2][3]

The metro line L1 platforms are located below the Rambla de la Marina between the Avinguda Carrilet and the Carrer Prat de la Riba, and comprise two 96-metre (315 ft) long side platforms. The platforms shared by metro line L5 and the FGC commuter lines are under the Avinguda Carrilet between the Rambla de la Marina and the Plaça de la Mare de Déu de Montserrat, and comprise two island platforms, each flanked by a pair of tracks, with the two inner tracks on the main line and the outer tracks on loops off the main line.[1][2]

The original FGC railway station opened in 1912, and was located on the surface. The current station was opened in 1985, when the section of the FGC line between Sant Josep and Cornellà-Riera stations was diverted underground. The TMB part of the station dates from 1987, when line L1 was extended from Torrassa station. It remained the terminus of line L1 until 1989, when that line was extended to Hospital de Bellvitge station.[3][1][2]
