Kyle Turner (born 20 February 1992) is an Indigenous Australian professional rugby league footballer for the South Sydney Rabbitohs of the National Rugby League. He has played his entire professional career to date with the Rabbitohs, with whom he won the 2014 NRL Premiership. He primarily plays second-row and lock, but can also fill in at centre.

Background

Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Turner played his junior football for Coonabarabran Unicorns before being signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs. As a youngster, he played for the New South Wales Indigenous Under-16s team.

Playing career

In 2011 and 2012, Turner played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs' NYC team[1] before moving on to the Rabbitohs' New South Wales Cup team, North Sydney Bears in 2013.

On 1 March 2013, Turner re-signed with the Rabbitohs on a 2-year contract.[2]

In Round 3 of the 2014 NRL season, Turner made his NRL debut for the Rabbitohs against the Wests Tigers.[3]

On 5 October 2014, in the Rabbitohs 2014 NRL Grand Final match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Turner played off the bench in the Rabbitohs 30-6 victory.[4][5]
