Kyle Hartigan
Kyle Hartigan (born 7 November 1991) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hartigan was selected with the Crows' first pick, #14, in the 2012 Rookie Draft.
Pre-AFL career
Whilst Hartigan was overlooked on the original draft as an 18 year old, he was noticed by Crows recruiters after strong performances at VFL side Werribee in 2012.[1]
AFL career
Hartigan made his AFL debut in round 18, 2013, and played three matches as a key defender, looking comfortable at AFL level.[2] This along with a string of strong performances for SANFL club South Adelaide saw him promoted to the Crows senior list for 2014.[3] Hartigan played seven consecutive matches early in the 2014 season before being squeezed out of the side, and was pushing for a recall when he suffered a spleen injury that ended his season.[2]
