Kyle Feldt (born 9 February 1992) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the North Queensland Cowboys of the National Rugby League. Feldt primarily plays centre and wing.

Background

Born in Townsville, Queensland, Feldt played his junior football for the Norths Thuringowa Devils before being signed by the North Queensland Cowboys. Feldt played for the Cowboys NYC team from 2010 and 2012.[1] At the end of 2011, Feldt was named on the interchange bench in the 2011 NYC Team of the Year.[2] In October 2011, Feldt played for the Junior Kangaroos.[3] Feldt has played for the Queensland U16's and U18s teams.

North Queensland Cowboys 2013-

2013

In Round 21 of the 2013 NRL season, Feldt made his NRL debut for the Cowboys against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on the wing in the Cowboys 30-12 win at 1300SMILES Stadium.[4][5] In Round 22 against the Penrith Panthers, Feldt scored his first NRL career try in the Cowboys 36-4 win at Penrith Stadium.[6] After the Cowboys Round 23 match against the Gold Coast Titans at 1300SMILES Stadium, scoring 2 tries in the Cowboys 22-10 win,[7] Feldt injured his ankle at training,[8] ending his debut season in the NRL with him playing in 3 matches and scoring 3 tries for the Cowboys in the 2013 NRL season. In October 2013, Feldt was awarded the Cowboys 2013 Rookie of the Year.[9]

2014

In February 2014, Feldt was selected in the Cowboys winning inaugural 2014 Auckland Nines squad.[10] Feldt starring in the tournament being the highest try scorer in the competition alongside the Eels Semi Radradra with 5 tries. After Round 7 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Central Coast Stadium after the Cowboys 26-21 loss,[11] Feldt spent his time in the Queensland Cup for the Northern Pride before was after earning a call up in Round 24 to replace Matthew Wright who got suspended for the rest of the year with being within the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks 2011 peptide taking ASADA investigations, against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium, scoring 2 tries in the Cowboys 22-10 win.[12] Feldt finished off the Cowboys 2014 NRL season with him playing in 10 matches and scoring 7 tries (28p).
