Kunesh was a village (now called an unincorporated community) around the crossroads betweens secs 21, 22, 27 & 28,[2] in Pittsfield Town, Brown County, Wisconsin, located on County Highway U 11 miles (18 km) northwest of Green Bay.
History
A post office was established 8 March 1894 and named for George Kunesh, the first postmaster.[3] It was discontinued 14 August 1905. George Kunesh, born in Wisconsin in 1864, was the son of John and Dora Kunesh who emigrated to the USA from Bohemia and farmed in Kewaunee County.[4]
