Kumaar
Kumaar is the screen name of Rakesh Kumar, an Indian lyricist active in Bollywood cinema. Kumaar is best known for creating the lyrics of Bollywood hits I Hate Luv Storys and Anjaana Anjaani.
Biography
Kumaar was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.[1] He moved to Mumbai in 1996 and began writing lyrics. His first success was the song "Ishq Tera Tadpave" recorded by Sukhbir. His first work in film lyrics was with the 2004 film Plan, for which he wrote the lyrics for the song "Hota Hai Hota Hai".
Kumaar went on to achieve success with lyrics for the film Anjaana Anjaani for which he was nominated as "Best Lyricist" in the Second Annual Global Indian Music Awards,[2] and Ra.One.[3]His latest hits includes "Dilli waali girlfreind" from Yeh jawaani hai deewani and "ishq bulava" from Hasee toh Phasee.
