Kuhpayeh (Persian: كوهپايه, also Romanized as Kūhpāyeh; also known as Kūh Pā and Qohpayeh)[1] is a city in and the capital of Kuhpayeh District, in Isfahan County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,417, in 1,200 families.[2]
Kuhpayeh is a historic city that located in 70 kilometres (43 mi) east of Isfahan. This was the home of Soraya Manutchehri, whose death is recounted in a 1990 best selling novel and 2008 film, The Stoning of Soraya M.[3]
