Kudumbi Seva Sanghom

Kudumbi Seva Sangham (KSS) is a social organization of the Kudumbi community of India . Its working for the upliftment of this community [1] in Kerala state. KSS now becomes the official organization of all Kudumbi's. About 4 lakh Kudumbi's are living in Kerala. Kudumbi Seva Sangham (KSS) was established in 1965 and works for the social,cultural and educational upliftment of the kudumbi community. KSS has the Registered office at Nandiyathukunnam, North Paravur, Ernakulam ,Kerala. KSS administrative office is located at Ernakulam, Kochi. Gandhi Krishnan is the Patron Leader of the organisation.KSS has a three tier organisational Structure. It comprises a State executive, 12 Taluk Unions and nearly 216 local branches. For many decades KSS has been leading the community having organized campaigns for raising their social demands. Many demands have been achieved .But the demand for the inclusion of kudumbi community in the SC / ST list still remains un fullfilled. After 2 years of organised struggle and campaigns under the leadership of KSS,in 2008 1% state reservations were granted for the kudumbi community in various Professional courses viz- Engineering and Medical fields.
