Krystal Casey Welborn (b. July 8, 1982) known professionally as Krystal Summers is an American transgender actress and performer.[1] She is known for her performance as "Bubbles Cliquot" in a lead role in the 2010 Israel Luna film Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives[2][3] that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.[4] She has also performed as a MC at the Rose Room in Dallas, Texas and is a classically trained pianist.[5]

Education

Summers graduated from West Jones High School in 2000. She then graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004.[6] She later received a degree in cosmetology from Aveda Institute.

Career

Summers began working for Caven Enterprises as a performer in April 2001. She has mainly been performing at The Rose Room S4 in Dallas, Texas but has also performed at other clubs and bars as well. Summers began acting in Summer 2009 in her first full-length film and first lead role, Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives. She had a small role in the short film Standing Room Only in 2004 as herself. Her second full-length film, Kicking Zombie Ass for Jesus, is expected to be released in early 2014.

Personal life

Summers enjoys playing tennis and is a classically trained pianist. She also plays the organ. She is experienced in hosting as well as stand-up comedy.
