Kristin dos Santos (née Veitch; born February 24, 1975) is an American television personality and columnist for the E! Entertainment Network. She covers television series appearing on major U.S. broadcast, cable and premium networks.

Biography

Early life and career

Dos Santos was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her family moved to San Diego, California the same year she was born. She graduated from Poway High School in Poway, California, then continued on to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where she earned a Bachelor of Art degree in communications. After college she went to work for Southern California newspapers as a reporter and an editor before moving on to the E! Network where she got the "Watch with Kristin" site.^[1]

Santos has a blog on E!’s website where she talks about TV shows with the help of her reporters and interns. She used live interactive chat with fans where she took questions about their favorite shows, sometimes involving spoilers for upcoming episodes. The chat transcripts were posted on the website. She also posted a weekly column on Fridays which was an often lengthy article about shows, sometimes containing interviews.

When The E! website changed in 2006, so did the "Watch with Kristin" area. As of 2007, there is a blog which is updated daily with more features such as Vine videos, Tater Tops Awards (which are her awards where fan votes according to their opinion unlike the Emmys), Save It or Sink It votes for new shows, and a weekly non-live chat Q&A. Kristin appears in regular segments for E! News on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7pm, as well as a regular show on E! Online’s The Vine, which is also accessible from their website.

In addition to her work on E!, dos Santos takes small acting roles. She has appeared in the television programs Summerland, Heroes, Tru Calling and Felicity. She played a dead body for one episode of Six Feet Under. She has played "The 30s Woman", a dead body that comes back to life in the third episode of Pushing Daisies.

Personal life

On July 14, 2007, she married Brazilian boyfriend João dos Santos. In September 2007, Kristin announced that she wished to use her married name of Kristin dos Santos. This marks the second time in her years at E! that she has changed her on-air name. Originally, her E! News segment was known as "Watch with Wanda," but when knowledge of her real name became public, her segment was changed to "Watch with Kristin."

On April 5, 2009, dos Santos gave birth to a baby boy Luca Alexander dos Santos. On February 20, 2011, she gave birth to a second baby boy Matteo Tomaz Dos Santos weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces.
