Kris Lythgoe (born 10 May 1979 as Kristopher Michael Lythgoe) is an English and American television and theatre writer/producer known for creating and producing reality television shows such as Who Are You and So You Think You Can Dance. Lythgoe is also active in theater; he has created several American pantos based upon folk- and fairy-tales and folk tales.
Theatre career
Lythgoe has been active in the theater circuit, creating several pantos based upon fairy tales and folk tales. He has also produced several musicals in the United Kingdom, including Footloose and The Wedding Singer.
Despite not being involved with production of the movie Ella Enchanted, Lythgoe credits this film as a leading inspiration for his pantos.
