Kris Dunn (born March 18, 1994) is an American college basketball player for Providence College.
High school career
Dunn attended New London High School in New London, Connecticut, he was one of the most dominating point guards in high school basketball. During his junior year in 2010-2011, Dunn averaged 26.5 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists per game to lead the Whalers to a 27-0 record. In his senior year from 2011-2012, he scored his 2,000th career point. He also led New London High School to the semifinal round of the 2012 Connecticut Class LL State Championships where he was defeated by St. Josephs High School.[1] Dunn was ranked #24 out of all high school players nationwide. He was also #1 in Connecticut.
Dunn announced his intention to attend Providence College in August 2011.[2]
College career
Dunn tore his labrum in June 2012 and underwent shoulder surgery immediately after. He made his freshman debut in late December.[3]
On December 11, 2013, it was announced Dunn would undergo shoulder surgery and miss the rest of his sophomore season.[4]
