Kringsjå is the second last station on Sognsvannsbanen (line 6) on the Oslo T-bane system. It lies between Holstein and Sognsvann and is 8.4 km from Stortinget. The station was opened on 10 October 1934.[1]
To the west of the station are large student dormitories, in particular Kringsjå Studentby and Fjellbirkeland Studentby. This makes subway line a convenient mode of transportation for students since the stations of Blindern and Forskningsparken near the University of Oslo are located further down the track.
Students travelling to BI Handelshøyskolen usually take the T-bane at this station, change T-bane at Ullevål and get off at Nydalen.
