Konnakkad

Konnakkad is a hilly region in Maloth village of kasaragod district which is located just 3 km away from Malom Town on kerala-karnataka border. It is a tourist attractive place and a forest area. konnakkad is known as the base station of kottanchery Hills. One can get buses and other public vehicles from nearby towns up to Konnakkad. After that trucks and jeeps are the only vehicles to reach the kottanchery hill station.

The Talakaveri (origin place of River kaveri) located in the Brahmagiri hills of Coorg is just 14 km from Konnakkad and can be reached by walking through dense forest.
