Kona Venkat (Telugu: కోన వెంకట్; born 19 February 1965) is an Indian screenwriter,[1] producer, lyricist and actor. He is known for his works in Telugu and Hindi Cinema.[2]

He wrote for many successful films including Alludu Seenu, Baadshah, Dookudu, Adurs, Ready, Dhee, Venky, Balu ABCDEFG, Happy, Samba, and Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. Movies like Dookudu, Adurs, Ready made him an icon for comedy in Telugu cinema. He is very popular for his witty one-liners. Kona Venkat and Gopimohan worked together for many blockbuster movies as script writers. He also worked for a couple of Ram Gopal Varma's films.
