Komi Station (古見駅 Komi-eki) is a railway station operated by Meitetsu's Tokoname Line located in Chita, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is located 17.3 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Jingū-mae Station.[1]

History

Komi Station was opened on February 18, 1912 as a station on the Aichi Electric Railway Company. The Aichi Electric Railway became part of the Meitetsu group on August 1, 1935. In January 2005, the Tranpass system of magnetic fare cards with automatic turnstiles was implemented, and the station has been unattended since that point.[3]

Komi Station has two opposed side platforms. Platform One can handle trains of only four carriages or less, whereas Platform Two is longer, and can handle trains of six carriages.
