Kokdala
Kokdala (Chinese: 可克达拉; pinyin: Kěkèdálā; Uyghur: كۆكدالا شەھىرى, ULY: Kökdala) is a city in the north of Xinjiang, People's Republic of China (PRC). Administratively, it is a county-level city under the direct administration of the regional government, though it is geographically located in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. Kokdala was established as the eight corps city of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on March 18, 2015, and is the youngest city in the PRC. The city covers a land area of 980 square km and has a population of around 80,000.[1]
