Koduvally is a Municipality town in Kozhikode district.[1] Koduvally is known as the golden town in Kozhikode district. It is located on the Calicut-Wayanad National Highway 212 (NH 212) and is about 22 km northeast of Kozhikode (Calicut) city. It is an intermediate Panchayat consisting of a number of village Panchayat including Kattippara, Kizhakkoth, Koduvally, Koodaranji, Madavoor, Omassery, Puthuppady, Thamarassery, and Thiruvambady.[2] Koduvally also gives its name to the Koduvally River which flows west into the sea.[3]
History
The road between Koduvally and Kozhikode was improved in the early 1970s and the Koduvally Bridge was built.[4]
Koduvally Assembly Constituency
Koduvally Assembly constituency consists of the Panchayats Kizhakkoth, Koduvally, Madavoor, Narikkuni, Omassery, Kattippara, and Thamarassery.[5]
V. M Ummar Master of Indian Union Muslim League is the Member of Legislative Assembly. In the 2011 Assembly elections he defeated M Mehaboob of CPI(M) at a margin of 16000 votes.The present Hon minister of state for external affairs E Ahmed represented Koduvally constituency in 1977. C. Moyinkutty, C. Mammootty and P. T. A. Rahim also represented Koduvally Legislative Assembly.

Kerala Campus for Technology& IT Engineering
Kerala Campus for Technology& IT Engineering is a Technical College in Koduvally focusing on imparting IT Technology education to youths of the locality and surrounding area, to make use of growing international opportunities available in IT. Started by a group of NRIs with long years of IT experiences, the Institute has a vision to empower as many youths as possible by providing world class training and helping them get placed. The Institute runs several Technology courses that help the youths land up in better jobs in India, Middle East and other developed countries.
Landmarks
Koduvally contains a mini stadium, a branch of State Bank of India, the Federal Bank,Canara bank, 4ATMs, a police station, Koduvally Muslim Orphanage, the KMO Arts and Science College and the Phoenix Pain and Palliative Care Society. Koduvally Muslim Orphanage was established as a charitable institution in 1978, registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 (Reg No. 17/78).[7] The town contains Kerala Muslims.[8]

A mini civil station, which was inaugurated on 2012 by Hon Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the presence of Hon Industries minister PK Kunhalikutty is situated at the heart of Koduvally.
