Knut Andersen (born 9 May 1931) is a Norwegian film director. He was born in Harstad. He has directed a series of films, including Ballad of the Masterthief Ole Hoiland from 1970, and Den sommeren jeg fylte 15 from 1975.[1][2] He received the Amanda Committee's Honorary Award in 2007.[3]

His 1969 film Scorched Earth was entered into the 6th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Diploma.[4]
