Knightsbridge School is a coeducational preparatory school for children aged 3–13 in Kensington and Chelsea, London. The school name itself comes from a road which runs from Hyde Park, spans the City of Westminster and passes through Kensington and Chelsea.
The Good Schools Guide described the school: "Formality is definitely not the name of the game at Knightsbridge School. Teachers are called by their first names with an added Mr or Miss in the junior school. [...] Classrooms contain happy, interested children listening to their teacher..."
History
Knightsbridge School first opened its doors to pupils in September 2006.[1] It is a registered charity through its foundation.
Curriculum
The school generally follows but is not limited to the National Curriculum. A notable feature of the curriculum is the emphasis on learning foreign languages.[2] Pupils learn Latin and French and may choose to learn a third.[3]
Many former pupils have progressed to prestigious independent schools in London and across the country including these notable ones; Charterhouse, City of London School, Eton College, Harrow School, Queen's Gate School, Rugby School and Latymer Upper School.[4]
