The Klondike Brewery (O'Brien's Brewery) was a brewery that was owned and operated by Thomas W. O'Brien and was based out of Klondike City of the Yukon Territory, Canada from 1904 to 1919.[1] The brewery reached peak production in 1905 when it produced 68 000 gallons of beer and over its lifetime it produced 365 000 gallons of beer. Shrinking markets due to Dawson City's falling population and growing temperance attitudes threatened the business. In 1919 prohibition came to the Yukon and forced the closure of the Klondike brewery.[2]
