Klefe is the main village in the Klefe Traditional Area. The current paramount chief or king (known locally as the 'Fiaga') is Togbe Afele Dzaga X. One of the subchiefs is the 'Asafofia' of Klefe. As of April 2009, this was Togbe William Dzanku.[2]
Interestingly, two inhabitants of the village, Rev Ledo and Rev. Livingstone Buama, are both former Moderators of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana.[3]
