Klára Issová (born 26 April 1979), sometimes known as Klára Issa, is a Czech film, stage and television actress. In 1997, she won the Czech Lion Award for Best Supporting Actress in Nejasná zpráva o konci světa.[1] She is the cousin of actress Martha Issová.

Early life

Born in Prague in 1979, she is the daughter of a Czech mother and Syrian director Michel Issa. In 1985, at the age of six, she started taking drama lessons. In 1993, she studied at the Prague Conservatory, graduating in 1997. She continued to act in the school theatre for another two years while studying pedagogy.

Career

Issova has appeared in many movies, TV serials and plays. Her notable film appearances are in Indian Summer (1995), The Mists of Avalon (2001), Frank Herbert's Children of Dune (2003), and Surviving Life (2010). She also played a short role in the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008). Her noteworthy TV appearances are in No Problem (1997), Joan of Arc (1999), Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001), and Operace Silver A (2007). Her stage credits include in Shots in Broadway and Private Eye.
