Kiranmala (Bengali: কিরণমালা) is a current Bengali television serial which is aired on GEC Star Jalsha. The show is telecast from Monday to Saturday at 8:00 p.m.[1][2][3]
Plot
The show depicts how the princess Kiranmala defeats the wicked demon queen Katkati and saves her kingdom Achinpur and mankind.

Reception
Kiranmala replaced the three-year TRP bagger, hit serial Maa. The serial was promoted by many film personalities from Tollywood like Koel Mallick and Raj Chakraborty in the last episode of the latter serial on August 3, 2014.[5][6]
The new fantasy show has made the audience charmed and spellbound .At the Kolkata Book Fair, seven children from Kolkata met Rukma Roy (who plays Kiranmala)at the stall of Star Jalsha. The actress said:
"Happy that the work of famed fantasy writer Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder will be introduced to the largely uninitiated audience of Gen Next as well as others. Replete with palace, forts and 'raj-durbar' Kiranmala by Star Jalsha will bring a change in the usual look of Bengali serials after many years."[7]
Television Special
A telefilm named Aleekpure Kiranmala has been premiered on STAR Jalsha on 15 March 2015 at 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. The episode features June Malia as the queen of time.[8]
