The order has inaugurated also in Tonga, upon the model of the British honour system, the tradition of the foundation of a royal family order to reward essentially the high ladies of the court of Tonga and the female members of the royal family.

Insignia

The Order shows a portrait of King George Tupou V in uniform, realized in enamels upon ivory surrounded by a frame of silver and diamonds and surmounted by the royal crown of Tonga in silver and enamels.
